We need your help!
The City of San Diego is in the process of improving University Avenue from 54th Street to Aragon Drive in order to develop safe, dedicated bike lanes. However, this project currently calls for the planting of only twelve new trees, despite the extreme heat on University Avenue and the critical need to prevent disastrous flooding. Although the University Avenue Bikeway Project will be constructed by SANDAG, only the Mayor’s Office can approve the addition of trees. The residents of the Chollas Creek Watershed are requesting the addition of 160 trees to the University Avenue Bikeway Project. Adequate tree canopy coverage is critical for the health and safety of bikeway users and to mitigate climate impacts on residents.
Tell the City that we need more trees on University Avenue by taking the survey at

Look for us Saturday, May 18, at the University Ave cleanup at University Ave/60th St. 8-9:30 am. We'll be collecting signatures there.
